PERSIC is a patient-specific, CT-based 3D-printed drilling guide system engineered to bring consistent, repeatable precision to spinal surgery in dogs and cats. Built from each patient’s own CT imaging, every PERSIC guide locks the drill into the exact position, angle and depth planned before the patient reaches theatre, removing the guesswork that freehand vertebral drilling demands.
Indications
PERSIC is designed to support surgical management of atlantoaxial instability, spondylosis, intervertebral disc disease, and spinal tumour removal in small animal patients.
System variants
PERSIC is available across the full spine, with guides tailored to the region being treated: PERSIC-C
(cervical), PERSIC-T (thoracic), PERSIC-L (lumbar) and PERSIC-S (sacral).
What’s included
Each PERSIC order arrives as a paired set, one guide for surgical rehearsal and one for use in theatre, alongside a matching anatomical model so the surgical team can plan and rehearse the
approach before the patient is on the table. Every guide is clearly labelled with drill specifications and case identifiers, with full sterilisation and handling instructions included.
Why choose PERSIC
By replacing freehand drilling with a guide built to the individual patient’s anatomy, PERSIC helps surgeons achieve faster, more accurate implant placement and reduces the risk of neurological complications associated with vertebral instrumentation.
